Stuffed Taco Shells

These delicious shells are stuffed with a creamy taco meat mixture and topped with white queso and pico de gallo! Perfect for a Taco Tuesday night!
Now depending on which size tortillas you get that’ll let you know how many you can eat. Regular sized shells turn out pretty big so 2 per person would definitely be enough! Unless you have a husband or kids who can eat eat lol
Stuffed Taco Shells Recipe

Ingredients:⠀
Pack of Flour Tortillas
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 cup salsa⠀
1 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup water⠀
1/2 cup onion⠀
1/2 cup green pepper⠀⠀
1 packet taco seasoning⠀
6 oz cream cheese⠀
Seasonings (adobo & cumin) ⠀
3 garlic cloves minced
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons water
Directions:

Preparing Meat Mixture
Place meat in skillet and brown over medium heat. Once no more pink is left remove meat and drain.⠀
In same pan, heat oil. Then add in onions & peppers. Saute about 5 mins. ⠀
Add garlic & saute 1 additional minute.
Add drained meat to pan with veggies & mix to combine.⠀
Add taco seasoning and water. Mix well.
Lightly season meat with adobo and cumin. Mix to combine.
Let meat simmer on med low heat for about 5 mins.⠀
Remove from heat and add meat to a bowl.⠀
Add cream cheese and salsa to bowl and mix.⠀
Preparing Stuffed Shells
Heat deep fryer to 350. ⠀
Combine water and flour in small bowl (used to ensure shells stay closed)⠀
Cut tortilla in half. ⠀
Fold in one half of shell. Add water mix along sides. Fold other side in until triangle shaped.⠀
Stuff shell with meat mix and cheese.⠀
Brush water mix along edge. Seal with fork. ⠀
Press along edges to make sure shell is secure. ⠀
Add tortillas to deep fryer and fry for 2-3 mins or until golden brown.⠀
Serve with Sour Cream and Pico de Gallo
