Make sure your oatmeal is as sweet as you'd like it before adding in blueberry sauce.
Use milk instead of water for creamier oatmeal.
You could mix the sauce all in your oatmeal or just pour some on top. Top it however you'd like :)
Blueberry Oatmeal Recipe
Cook according to package ⠀
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespooons brown sugar
2 cups blueberries⠀
1 cups water
1/2 cup sugar⠀
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Add 1 1/2 cups of blueberries to pot⠀
Pour in water, sugar and vanilla ⠀
Turn stove to medium-high heat⠀
Let mixture come to a low boil⠀
Blueberries will start to break apart ⠀
Add in cornstarch mixture (1tbsp cornstarch w/ 2tbsp water) ⠀
Bring berries to a rolling boil ⠀
Turn heat to low ⠀
And let sauce simmer until it thickens to your desired consistency ⠀
Remove from heat and add in remaining 1/2 c blueberries ⠀
Stir gently then serve
